I want to setup a VoIP system between 2 laptops.

the laptops are in the same house and are setup for multiplayer gaming through ad hoc wireless, we have no internet here and I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to set this up, just the 2 laptops and no internet connection, can it be done through the ad hoc connection? we have the 2 headsets and are both running win XP pro. The Idea is so we can talk to eachother even though we are in different rooms deuring game play. can anybody please help?
thanks for the quick reply, I will look into that once I get home we play games like pro street, farcry, swat 3 & 4, call of duty, quake 3, counter strike 1.6 with bots, and sometimes we play some of the old dos games like doom1 and hexen they are old but still good.

You can try teamspeak. But you gotta download it from somewhere and install it on both machines.
What game do you play if you dont have internet conection?
Anyways, go to a friend’s house and download that software and set it up. If you both are able to play over LAN then TeamSpeak will right for you.
